Derek
Bonczkowski |
lives
in Bloomington IL, where he is a technical analyst at State Farm. He
has been ringing with church choirs and at handbell camps since 1992. Derek
was challenged to play his first solo one year later at age 11 and has also
rung duets and trios with his mother and brother as a family group. |

Angi Chase |
is a music teacher at South Fork Junior/Senior High
School in Kincaid. She and her family live in
Taylorville, where they are the directors of music at their church.
She has been ringing handbells since 1982. Angi’s
other passions besides handbells are: anything Frank
Lloyd Wright, Chicago Cubs, and NASCAR.

Vickie Courtney |
is a recently retired teacher and has found that she is busier now than she
was when she was teaching! She has been ringing since 1987, and with a background in percussion Vickie
finds handbells to be a way to continue performing and making music. |

Helen Ely |
retired after teaching math
at Riverton High School and is currently teaching math for Lincoln Land
Community College. She is the organist, choir accompanist, and bell
choir director at Elliott Avenue Baptist Church in Springfield IL. |

Kathy Frampton |
lives in Morton, IL where she works as a warranty
administrator at Mike Murphy Ford. She has been ringing in her church
bell choir since 1987. In her spare time Kathy enjoys hiking with her
husband.

Gail Joslin |
lives in Bloomington where she works for Bloomington
Public Schools. She found her passion for Handbells in 1986 ringing and is
now directing 3 choirs at Wesley UMC. Gail is a Rep for Malmark, clinician,
solo ringer, and directs at the Intergenerational Handbell Camp. She is
excited to be ringing in BIM with her daughter and son-in-law. |

Tami Lamb |
- her first
musical loves were the piano and the vocal music worlds, and she sang with the Springfield Choral Society. But in 1984 she was introduced to handbells,
and since then has rung in many small ensembles as well as a solo ringer.
When she is not ringing professionally, Tami rings with her church choir and at
home with her husband and two children on the family set of bells. |

Nancy Leigh |
lives in Fulton County on Bacon Hill Farm, which is operated by her husband,
youngest son, and daughter-in-law. She teaches math and chemistry at
the local community college. Nancy has recently
"volunteered" to direct a young ringers handbell choir for Macomb Wesley
United Methodist Church. |

Cheri Long |
has been ringing bells at church, school, and handbell
camp since 1995. She works as an administrative assistant for a non-profit
organization called Stephen Ministries. Cheri and her husband, Patrick, met
in the Valparaiso University handbell choir during college. They live in St.
Louis with their two kittens, Pink and Teal. |

Patrick Long |
is a
Research & Development Chemist for a chemical company in St Louis, MO. He
enjoys ringing duets for church services and weddings with his wife, Cheri,
who also rings with BIM. Patrick has been ringing handbells since 1995 when
he started with his church choir. |

Evan Miller |

Melody Palm |
works at Illinois State University, where she first
rang handbells while earning a music therapy degree. She is active in
community music theatre in Bloomington/Normal IL, and co-leads music at St.
Matthew's Episcopal Church. Melody plays string bass with Bells In
Motion and is excited to join the ringing. |

Eric Potratz |
resides in Cedar Falls, IA where he works as a Software Engineer at DISTek
Integration, Inc. on software embedded in off-highway automotive vehicles.
In his free time, Eric enjoys bicycling, ringing with his church handbell
choir, and playing clarinet with a local summertime community concert band. |

Cathy Rowe |
works in Springfield as a
Programmer Analyst at the IL Branch of TIB-The Independent BankersBank, based in
Irving TX.
She started ensemble ringing in 1978 and has performed with Distinctly Bronze since 2002.
Cathy was selected through audition to ring with the Pinnacle 2004
and 2010 Dream Teams. |

Denean Smith |
lives in DePere, WI with her husband Mark. She is
Manager-Fuel Accounting for Integrys Group, supporting 6 regulated utilities.
Denean has been ringing since 1994 (bass bells are her favorites), has been a
ringer at Distinctly Bronze and Bay View Week of Handbells, and has rung with
the Dream Team and All-Star choirs at national Pinnacle conferences. |

Janet Sublett |
teaches at Lanphier High School and directs the handbell choirs at Douglas
Avenue United Methodist Church. Traveling to perform with Bells In Motion
has always proven to be very rewarding musically and just plain fun. Janet
is looking forward to our future trips and can be packed and ready to go in half
an hour! |

Pam Wall |
teaches third grade and works for an
auction company. She has been ringing bells since 1974 and has had
the opportunity to ring in six countries! After traveling thousands
of miles by plane, bus, car, taxi, and even boat with Bells In Motion, Pam
returns home to ring with the handbell ensemble at First Congregational
Church. |

Jean Welch

is retired from the State
of Illinois and is currently the Director of Music for St. John’s Lutheran
Church in Springfield, IL where she is the organist and directs St. John’s
Bells of Glory adult handbell choir, children’s choirs and many small
ensembles. Her husband Ralph is also ready to be a “roadie” again. |
